This presentation is about how an extreme level of significance or importance can be hiding within something that is apparently extremely insignificant. Concepts presented include the history of the Voyager 1 space mission and Carl Sagan’s request to have it take a picture of Earth from 4 billion miles away… as well as various anthropic features of the Earth, solar system, universe, and life on this planet. Opposing arguments on how to get a universe from “nothing” are also discussed.
Presentation given at Loma Linda University, Mortensen Hall, 2nd floor amphitheater, 10:25 – 11:30 AM, Sabbath 11/17/18 (Part of Dr. Paul Giem’s Lecture Series). The original video, along with other similar presentations, can be found at: http://www.itsaboutgod.tv/sls/
